So is it just me, or are the ideas for men a bit scarce? Not sure why that'd be. Maybe its an imagination thing... I'd love to see some examples of reconstruction for men's clothes and have been personally challenged with coming up with any ideas myself.

Little help?

    I'm working on it!

You can fit your big guy into thrift store find pants by slashing the side seams and adding "tuxedo stripes" in any fabric.

cut out the waistband of his favorite worn out jeans to make a utility belt.

You can make damn near anything out of pantlegs, they give you a wide swathe of reclaimed fabric.

Cut off the sleeves of a princess-seamed ladies coat to turn it into a guy's vest--i've seen a few guys sporting this look.

"marry" t-shirts and sweaters to one another. add epaulets for the detail of the moment.

that's all I could think of off the top of my head, but don't think it's not on my mind! good question.

      That IS sexy.

I myself love to take my older jeans and cut out shapes in them, then sew in bright fabrics in the open spaces.
Or, lately, I should say that I like to THINK about doing that, but I haven't gotten up off my ass to actually DO as much of that as I'd like.

I think it would be cool also to just add some cool additional elements to a basic pair opf jeans, like a ring or brightly colored fur around the pant cuffs, or the waist. Maybe a stripe of fur down the outside of each leg.

Fuck, get some EL wire and go nuts creating lit-up patterns.

Wait......don't do any of that....I want mine to be unique!!! LOL

I checked out this store in Portland today, was window shopping. I was talking to the clerk, and she said they loooved reconstructed clothing, that almost everything in the store was out of old clothing. They had some of the coolest jacket type things made out of sweaters... kind of funky, but in a really comfy way.

they also had some knee- length coats that were made out of mens' suits... they were very elegant and had a delicious texture., as well as lining!
