next time if you have a question, please post on the existing topic: Dyeing tips and Tricks.

Firstly, what is the fiber content of your sari (saree). If it's polyester RIT won't dye it much as poly needs a special dye which is not available to the public.
If it's rayon, cotton, wool, silk, acetate or nylon, RIT will work.
what you can do is called a DIP DYE effect.
RIT has a Mauve shade which might work or Fushia. You'll need a weakish bath, not too much dye.
For DIP DYEING:
heat dye bath on stove to hot, but not boiling. Dye should be completely dissolved. If you want the Dusty Rose to bleed up, wet your sari first then dip into dye bath and hold for a minute or so. longer for deeper tones. Remember when the fabric is wet, it will look darker than dry.
If you want it not to bleed up as much, do it dry.
then follow directions on box when you rinse it. RIT is not colorfast, so either Fix it with a dye fixative (look for more info in Dyeing Tips n Tricks) or wash separately from regular load.
Dip Dyeing is always a experimental thing. good luck
