This is a crosspost **((sorry))**...but, I bought fake flower bouquets on clearance from WalMart, found bits of string and ribbons and fringe that I always hoard...it's a compulsive obsession...(I might NEED these one day!!) Made a belly dance costume to a latin fusion style dance we're doing. I posted the self-taken pic in the photos tab of RE-CLO. Let me know what you think.

Did you make the entire outfit or did you add the flowers to embellish the pants and top from something that you already had? Because the top and pants look tricky to make.

NOOOOO!!!! The pants are from Tribal Bazaar, and the Choli is from Pedralta....I cannot sew at ALL...I should have clarified, I took a belt, hot glued flowers, a wash O ring (I THINK that's what my husband called it), glued a flower for the ring, safety pin on the cleavage, glue on a bendy clip for the hair thingy....it's just the first time that I came up with the whole concept by myself and put an outfit together...my first attempt got a lot of great suggestions, I took them, reworked the flowers, and then came up with a much better costume. I'm just excited since my very first Hafla is Jan 24th and we're dancing to Harry Belafonte's "Jump in the Line". Our dance instructor said "Don't go out and buy a "latin-y feeling costume...but, if you can work a tropical feel into it..do it" Our last rehearsal, I wore it (just to make sure the girls were going to stay where they belonged and flowers wouldn't fly out into the audience...the whole troupe gave me zaghareets and yips! Tee-hee!
