Boot covers, front

I was sewing for a client for burning man last year, and I hadn't made anything for myself yet... I thought, "I'd better make something for myself!"

So I made these, from a man's vest (itself made from recycled Indian saris.) Also some leather.

Probably took between 3 and 4 hours.

I really like these! For one thing it gives your boots a whole new look. For someone like me who has calves that have a hard time fitting into boots, this is a great solution. I could make covers to fit my calves and wear them with ankle boots. Thanks for the idea!

Thanks - yeah, I wear these a LOT. Boots can be expensive, but making boot covers isn't! ;)

Besides, I like to wear comfortable shoes, and this way, I can totally get away with that! ;)
